Accessibility Statement for
Clementine Floral Works llc
Our Commitment to Accessibility
At Clementine Floral Works llc, we believe that everyone should be able to experience the beauty and joy of flowers. We are dedicated to ensuring our digital storefront is inclusive and fully accessible to individuals with disabilities. We actively work to align our website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards to provide a seamless browsing and shopping experience for all our guests.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Clementine Floral Works llc is Partially Conforming with WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards.
Partially conforming means that some parts of the content—such as certain visual product element layouts, custom script integrations, or Squarespace native checkout structures—may not fully conform to the strictest accessibility standards yet. We are actively auditing, updating, and adjusting these features to close any accessibility gaps.
Technical Specifications & Features
Our website relies on the Squarespace platform utilizing HTML, CSS, WAI-ARIA, and JavaScript to work effectively with modern web browsers and assistive technologies or screen readers.
To help make ordering arrangements accessible, we continuously review our store for:
Descriptive Alternative Text: Providing explicit text descriptions for our floral arrangements, bouquet photos, and seasonal plants so screen-reader users understand our catalog.
Keyboard Logic: Ensuring users can navigate our navigation menus, search bar, and cart page natively without requiring a mouse.
Form Labels: Verifying that text fields for delivery addresses and custom gift card messages are properly labeled for assistive technology.
Limitations and Alternatives
Despite our best efforts, there may be some limitations due to the inherently visual nature of floral e-commerce or fixed platform code limitations within Squarespace layouts. Below is a list of known limitations and alternative solutions:
Floral Visual Nuances & Color Descriptions: While we add descriptive alt-text to bouquet images (e.g., "Bouquet of 12 red roses mixed with white lilies in a glass vase"), subtle visual textures, natural petal variations, or complex wrapping-paper details may be difficult to fully capture in text.
Alternative: If you need detailed descriptions of a specific arrangement to ensure it matches your exact vision, please call us directly at 323.208.1900
Squarespace Native Checkout & Form Elements: Certain built-in Squarespace structural components—such as the pop-out shopping cart drawer or multi-step checkout pages—rely on system code that we cannot directly alter. These elements may occasionally present navigation hurdles for strict keyboard or screen-reader users. Please be aware that our website built on Squarespace may integrate with third party applications(such as maps, payment processors or delivery widgets to provide specific services. While we encourage our partners to provide accessible content, we do not control or maintain the underlaying code of these third party intergrations.
Alternative: If you experience any technical difficulties processing your payment or scheduling a delivery on our site, we will happily take your order securely over the phone at 323.208.1900.
